Sunset over the Sea（夕日 ）
Every year many people are drawn to Joetsu's coastal area. The wide beaches, gentle waves, and water quality can not be beaten. The view of the setting sun over the sea is exceptional.
Lotus Viewing（高田公園の 蓮）
The Moat in Takada Park is thought to house the best lotus collection in the Orient, and from early in the morning many local citizens as well as tourists gather to appreciate its beauty. The optimal time for viewing is during beginning of August.
